Many customers have written to us and asked this question. Since we cannot answer all of these questions individually, we have provided the following response:

Our chlorine dioxide products M.M.S. CLASSIC, CDSplus and CDSpure can be used for mobile drinking water treatment, e.g. in caravans, yachts/boats, while travelling, in hotels, for outdoor and hiking use. In addition to drinking water, it can be used to thoroughly clean surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom, such as refrigerators, cutting boards, toothbrushes, drinking bottles, humidifiers and laundry, as well as meat, fruit and vegetables (e.g. against hepatitis A, MRSA, EHEC, anthrax, Escherichia coli). Animal lovers have a reliable means of disinfecting cages, stables, drinking water and feeding places.

For many pathogens, whether bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites or spores, there are hundreds of laboratory tests and proofs of the extraordinary effectiveness of the active ingredient chlorine dioxide. These have also been included in active substance dossiers for approvals.

Tests for dangerous pathogens of the highest security level cannot simply be commissioned from the laboratory around the corner. These pathogens are only issued to and researched in a very small number of highly secure laboratories. So far, we have not found any meaningful European study on corona viruses and chlorine dioxide. But we found one on the internet in China.

The study ‘Study on the resistance of severe acute respiratory syndrome-associated coronavirus (2005)’ states that even an aqueous chlorine dioxide solution with only 3ppm (parts per million) reliably killed the known corona viruses in vitro (i.e. in the laboratory) in all faeces, urine and blood samples. For this reason, chlorine dioxide appears to be a good and safe disinfectant against the coronavirus.

After activation, our CDSplus has a concentration of approx. 3,000 ppm.

If you mix 1 part CDSplus and 9 parts water, you get 300ppm.

If you mix 1 part CDSplus and 99 parts water, you get 30ppm.

If you mix 1 part CDSplus and 999 parts water, you get 3ppm.

We would always overdose in case of doubt, so you have to work with 30ppm.

With our M.M.S. CLASSIC you can achieve similarly strong concentrations. However, due to temperature, exposure time, etc., there are greater fluctuations in concentration. So if in doubt, always significantly over-dose.

Whether this statement also applies to the current allegedly mutated and widespread pathogen, we cannot say with certainty. However, since chlorine dioxide, unlike antibiotics, for example, works according to a very simple and robust principle of oxidation, mutations are likely to be of secondary importance for this oxidation (combustion).

Conclusion: Unfortunately, we can only answer this question to a limited extent and with probabilities, and therefore ask for your understanding.

We advise everyone to be vigilant on this issue but also not to panic. There have been increased panic buying in our shop in the last few days. But we are stocked up and do not see any delivery bottlenecks, so that such actions are not necessary.
