DMSO and dosing set

Compatibility of the dosing set with DMSO and CDS

All components of the dosing set are made of glass or HDPE and are therefore insensitive to chlorine dioxide solutions from MMS CLASSIC and CDSplus as well as DMSO. Only the pump spray head is made of other materials. Unfortunately, this is not possible otherwise for technical reasons. Therefore, the chlorine dioxide/DMSO solution should only remain in the dosing set for the short period of use when the pump spray head is to be used. If stored permanently, the spray head would fail quite quickly. However, this does not happen with the glass pipette as a lid. We use the best possible components currently available on the market.

DMSO: natural or artificial?

We are often asked this question and have consulted a specialist on the subject of DMSO, Dr Hartmut Fischer. DMSO is known from the pulp production industry. There, with a lot of chemical effort, tree fibres are dissolved and reduced in size so that paper can be made from them. The DMSO that is produced in this way is therefore heavily contaminated with these chemicals. The multi-stage cleaning effort for this DMSO is economically far too high. Furthermore, Dr Hartmut Fischer doubts that it would even be technically possible to produce a substance that is 99.8% pure, which is the level of purity required in pharmaceuticals. You have to remember that DMSO is a smuggler and all the residual substances would be carried into the tissue. That is why he is glad that the DMSO produced in the laboratory is not only chemically similar to natural DMSO, but 100% identical. This means that the purest DMSO can be produced cost-effectively and, above all, safely. It is also important that the pharmaceutical purity is confirmed by the manufacturer; the percentage is not crucial here. We also comply with all EU regulations and have had our conformity confirmed by TÜV Rheinland.
